Mr. Ahmed is a qualified ACCA (Association of chartered Certified Accountants) accountant. He has Bsc in Accounting and Finance from London South Bank University and a diploma from Albeda Albeda College in Rotterdam, Netherlands.

Ahmed’s experience spans over a number of years in the accounting field where he has held a number of positions including accounts Assistant Fone2U, London, Financial Controller Mogadishu Stars, Dubai and Head of Finance at IBS Bank.

Mr Ahmed is currently the General Manager Finance and Strategy. As IBS Bank General Manager Finance and Strategy from 2016 to date Ahmed has been a central pillar in the turn round of the bank. He is responsible for ensuring the bank has strong financial fundamentals and that it grows from strength to strength. He is also responsible for ensuring that all units follow financial procedures and that there is proper financial discipline throughout the Bank. Ahmed is also in charge of generating transformational Bank strategy and budgets and enforcing performance through regular reporting and accountability.
